Where The Wild Things Are Hand Puppets

Where The Wild Things Hand Puppets Are In Stock And Ready to Ship

from Where The Wild Things Are

by Maurice Sendak

Four soft and cuddly 14" hand puppets based on Maurice Sendak's classic book, are now available at Tuesdays And Thursdays:

Max,
Bernard,
Sipi,
and Moishe

Written in 1963, Where The Wild Things are has become an American Classic, and one of our favourite books! The book tells the story of Max, who one evening plays around his home, "making mischief" in a wolf costume. As punishment, his mother sends him to bed without supper. In his room, a mysterious, wild forest grows out of his imagination, and Max takes a journey to the land of the Wild Things. We'd love to tell you more of the story, but that would spoil the ending...

The puppets are 14" tall. Your hands work the head and arms (mouths don't move)

One of the features we really like is that these hand puppets can sit upright on their own, so they can double as stuff animals and sit on your bed or bookshelf.

Poppies and Peonies. A Limited Edition Giclee Print by Shelly Bedsaul

Limited Edition giclee print
#2 of 100
Hand signed and numbered in graphite
Epson Brite White watercolor paper
Epson Ultrachrome archival inks
Paper size: 8 x 19
Image size: 6 3/4 x 18

From the artist : I started this 2 years ago, procrastinated and finally finished it in 2009. I loved the challenge of working with basically two colors, the red family and green, and still maintain depths and contrasts, without being flat.

My technique, though time consuming, is simple. I start with a preliminary sketch in graphite. When my design is satisfactory, I ink the sketch, using a black, 05, pigma micron pen. I use Prismacolor pencils. Each area is a layering of about 5 different colors, going from dark to light, until the paper is totally burnished. Once the coloring is complete, I re-ink to make the line work a true black. It is then sprayed with workable fixatif to seal, protect and prevent wax bloom. The substrate is archival rag board.

Ze Super Zeros Join The Fun At Tuesdays And Thursdays

Ze Super Zeros have super powers ... but they also have flaws that negate those powers. (a great lesson for children who often forget what they can do and instead focus on what they cannot do) Zonk the Monkey, for instance, is a self-proclaimed "super climber," yet he's also afraid of heights. Oh my!

Each of the super zeros wears a mask - as all super characters should - and their capes are detachable! Find the collection of Super Zeros at Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Within a few years Marianne had knit over one hundred pairs of socks for family and friends, and she decided to turn her hobby into a business. Her colorful and complex patterns are knit in the USA at a family owned knitting mill, hand finished and mismatched.

Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange Is A Hit At Tuesdays And Thursdays

TUSCAN BLOOD ORANGE solid perfume, candles, and gift sets by Pacifica

Blood orange is loved for it's absence of bitterness with rich, juicy flavor and bright raspberry and strawberry notes. Italian sweet oranges flesh out this naturally beautiful essence.
Pacifica perfumes are formulated with natural ingredients to be paraben-free and vegan using the highest quality botanical ingredients and their signature Pacifica fragrance blends with essential oils. Pacifica body care and candle products are all made in the USA, Portland Oregon actually.

So what's so deal with blood oranges? A favorite of many orange connoisseurs, the blood orange, with its sweet, deep red flesh, is believed to be the result of a mutation that occurred in 17th-century Italy.
align="center"> Grown for centuries in the Sicilian region, the orange plays a very important cultural role in Italy. Oranges are used in foods, drinks, liquors, and celebrated at festivals. A red streaked sky at sunset is known as a "blood orange sky." The scent of oranges also evokes images of Tuscany, the heart of medieval Italy. Boasting enchanted towns such as Florence, Pisa, and Siena, Tuscany is littered with castles, the ruins of walled villages, and landscapes doted with orange trees that can be detected in the slightest of sea breezes. Additionally, the blood orange is used as an antidepressant, aphrodisiac, and in various tonics. As the Tuesdays And Thursdays website is currently under renovation, we are proud to offer Tuscan Blood Orange and a variety of other Pacifica Products in our Amazon store.
