Where The Wild Things Hand Puppets Are Now At Tuesdays And Thursdays

Where The Wild Things Hand Puppets Are In Stock And Ready to Ship

from Where The Wild Things Are

by Maurice Sendak

Four soft and cuddly 14" hand puppets based on Maurice Sendak's classic book, are now available at Tuesdays And Thursdays:

Max,
Bernard,
Sipi,
and Moishe

Written in 1963, Where The Wild Things are has become an American Classic, and one of our favourite books! The book tells the story of Max, who one evening plays around his home, "making mischief" in a wolf costume. As punishment, his mother sends him to bed without supper. In his room, a mysterious, wild forest grows out of his imagination, and Max takes a journey to the land of the Wild Things. We'd love to tell you more of the story, but that would spoil the ending...

The puppets are 14" tall. Your hands work the head and arms (mouths don't move)

One of the features we really like is that these hand puppets can sit upright on their own, so they can double as stuff animals and sit on your bed or bookshelf.

Growing Up Like A Wild One

Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak is a children's picture book originally published by Harper & Row which describes the imaginary adventures of a young boy named Max, who is angry after being sent to his room without supper. Max wears a distinctive wolf suit during his adventures and encounters various mythical creatures. The book is generally regarded as a classic of American illustrated children's literature.

Written in 1963, it was awarded the Caldecott Medal in 1964. It also won the Boston Globe-Horn Book Award and was an ALA Notable Book.

Needless to say, we are tickled pink to be able to offer a large selection of gifts and stationery items featuring the characters and artwork of Maurice Sendak. Among them are the Where The Wild Things Are Photo Growth Chart.

Children will love tracking their growth with this wild wall chart. It features the classic artwork of Maurice Sendak, plus 4 built in picture frames and stickers to mark heights and dates! Chart height to 4 feet six inches. Made of durable materials and includes hanging hardware.

Of course you may just want to include a mark on the chart to show where you child first read "Where The Wild Things Are" on their own as well!
